Joining criteria
Keyfund is accessible to all young people aged 11-25 years. Young people form their own group which must be made up of two people or more, they give themselves a name and with the support of a Keyfund trained facilitator, initiate and implement their own projects. The projects can be as simple as a trip to a bowling alley or as involved as a music collective working over time to establish a rehearsal space for community use. If a group has been formed but does not have a facilitator they can speak to their local youth worker or teacher and ask them if they would like to train to become a Keyfund Facilitator. Alternatively, they can contact the Keyfund team who will see if there is facilitator in their local area, who may be willing to help.

Recruitment process
Once young people have formed their group and have their project idea, the Keyfund facilitator will show them how to register their group and project with Keyfund.

Role
To embark on a journey to develop skills, build confidence and self awareness through planning and carrying out a project. To identify the learning and development that has taken place throughout this process.

Responsibilities
To plan and run a project that has been chosen by their group and is their own idea. Ensure the project is safe, legal and realistically achievable. To work with a Keyfund trained facilitator. To show evidence of their learning. Present their project and learning to a Keyfund Panel. To manage the grant monies within the terms and conditions of the Keyfund. To submit an evaluation and meet any other conditions that the panel may have set. To challenge themselves to progress on to the next stage. Most importantly, to have fun whilst doing it.
