Facilitators
Joining criteria
Keyfund Facilitators must work or volunteer for an organisation who has an infrastructure in place to work with young people, including safeguarding young people policies and relevant insurances. Facilitators must also have an up-to-date CRB check, complete the initial facilitators training programme and renew their membership on an annual basis. In order to retain and renew this facilitator membership status, individual facilitators must complete at least two Keyfund activities in each membership year.
Recruitment process
Prospective facilitators will complete a membership and training application form, which is assessed and processed by the Keyfund team. Each successful applicant will then complete the initial training programme. These training programmes take place every 6 months and on-demand where appropriate.
Role
To use the Keyfund Process in order to provide young people with the opportunity to practically develop the skills, confidence and self-awareness needed to reach their potential and play a positive role in their community. Facilitator Members are the lifeblood of the Keyfund Federation. They are the frontline deliverers of the Keyfund process and the ones who hold the relationships with the young people.
Responsibilities
To support young people to the best of their ability. To share experiences and exchange ideas at a national, regional and practitioner level. To support other facilitators by offering advice and guidance and by sitting on panels wherever possible.
Membership at all levels is not only about benefits. Members are also contributing to the youth-led learning movement. As a member you would be encouraged to;
- Share your experience and information with other members
- Welcome enquiries and visits from Keyfund staff and / or interested parties
- Attend local, regional and national Keyfund events wherever possible
- Support your local network and value the work of other members
- Promote Keyfund and its values
