Panel Members

People from all sectors can train to become Community Panel Members. This voluntary role involves sitting on panels where young people come and show you their project ideas and their skills development in order to secure the money from Keyfund to make their project happen (just think of it like a friendly “Dragons' Den”!).

We think it’s really important that our young people have the opportunity to meet friendly but challenging people. They need positive role models to help them build aspirations for their own futures.

Initially, all it takes is attending a one-off, three hour training session and then you can sit on your first live panel. After that, it will be up to you if you want to take part as a more regular Community Panel Member in future. Panels normally take less than an hour and happen wherever the young people choose.

Following the training you can log on to the Keyfund website and see when panel members are needed, you can also post a message to let people know what type of panel you would like to be part of and where and when you are available.

We’d love you to join us.

To become a Community Panel Member all you need to do is find the Community Panel training course you would like to attend (it’s free) and sign up online. Click here to see what Training courses are available.
