Winter Extravaganza One Year Anniversary
Article by Rossie Ashton
Sunday 22nd January saw the first anniversary of our Big, Bigger, Biggest project. Funded by the Big Lottery, a steering group of talented young people put on the Winter Extravaganza - a fantastic free concert for the region's young people which was headlined by Joe McElderry.
One year on, some members of the steering group, along with one of the performers, met for a slap up meal to reminisce about what a huge success it had all been, how much fun they'd had and what plans they had for the future. Jenna Green, 13, a member of the steering group said, "this was a great way to celebrate what young people like us can achieve. We learnt so much about how to plan a big event but it was also really fun and I've made lots of new friends too!"
