About Keyfund

So what do we do?

Keyfund invests in ideas. Groups plan, design and deliver their own projects, building confidence, aspirations, self-esteem and our 12 Keyfund skills.

Through Keyfund, young people learn by doing. They experience first hand how effort can reap rewards and what it feels like to succeed.

Keyfund breaks down barriers, binds communities and empowers people to get involved and do things for themselves.

New experiences, new skills, new futures.

Our Vision

We want to see a world where young people are listened to and empowered to reach their full potential in life, in a world where their communities look on them with pride and feel excitement for the future.

Our Mission

Together let's provide young people with the opportunity to practically develop the skills, confidence and self awareness needed to better reach their potential and play a positive role in their community.

Key Stats

Even in what has been a challenging year for the sector, Keyfund continued to improve its key performance indicators. Last year we engaged more than 6000 young people. If all they all joined hands they would stretch along the whole route of the Great North Run. We have a network of over 1000 Keyfund trained volunteer facilitators. Demand for our process is so great that we have trained another 145 youth workers since April 2011 so that they too can help young people gain the confidence and skills to enable them to reach their potential.
